Sometimes life can be really hard. Grief, trauma, anxiety, relationship challenges, major life changes, everyday stress, and other unexpected difficulties can begin to affect how we see ourselves, relate to others, and move through daily life, leaving us feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of where to go next. I believe people are complex, resilient, and deeply capable of healing, and that sometimes we need extra support, perspective, and guidance as we navigate these experiences.
I work with children ages 5–17, adults, and families, with particular interests in grief and loss, anxiety, trauma, emotional regulation, and life transitions. My background includes trauma informed care, crisis support, victim advocacy, and helping individuals and families navigate difficult experiences, including grief and loss.
Helping people make sense of their experiences and the impact they can have is at the heart of my work. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, practical, and strengths-based, and I am drawn to narrative approaches that encourage curiosity and self-understanding while helping people recognize new possibilities for what comes next.
Therapy can be serious, emotional, and challenging, but it can also include laughter, hope, and moments of curiosity and discovery. I know taking that first step can feel intimidating, but it can also be the beginning of meaningful change.
I serve clients at the Newton, Kansas office of Integrated Clinical Services with some evenings and weekend hours. If you’re looking for a therapist who values authenticity, curiosity, humor, and genuine human connection, I’d be honored to be part of that process.
