Carly moved to Lawrence in 2008 and hasn’t looked back since. She completed her undergrad and graduate degrees in social work at the University of Kansas. Carly has a little “family,” which is comprised of her two beloved pets, Josie and Edie. She has an affinity for all that is uniquely Lawrence. In her down time, Carly enjoys attending concerts, spending time with her best friend, and snuggling her animals. Her strengths include working with individuals who have suffered trauma and/or substance use issues.
Gifts of Imperfection
Edie (aka E.D.) was adopted in 2020 from a local animal shelter as an additional companion amidst the pandemic. Her favorite pastimes are eating, lying on laps, and looking out the window. She is a calico tabby kitty and sweet as can be.
Josie (aka stinky butt, goober, Jo) was born in 2013. When she was brought home at 6 months old, you could barely see the precious puppy beneath her overgrown and matted hair. Carly soon discovered that there was a little angel under there. Josie is a yorkie/dachshund with a personality all her own. She is the love of Carly’s life. She even has a tattoo of her!
