“I am a licensed addictions counselor and continuing my education through the University of Kansas MSW program. I finished my training in addictions counseling at Washburn University. For the past year and a half, I have been working with people in recovery from opiate use. One of my goals is to work towards bridging the gap between substance use recovery and mental health.

I was born in Maryland and moved to Kansas about 7 years ago. I have 2 young children and lots of pets. I enjoy yoga, puzzles, and being outside. My background before becoming an addictions counselor is in animal care and received a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from Virginia Tech. I have interests in working with animals in a therapeutic way and am in the process of training a therapy dog named Flower.”
